World Cup 2014 Advertising Rules

With only 20 days until the start of the world cup have you started to think about advertising your summer events?

There are a whole host of rules and regulations when mentioning the world cup unless you are an official sponsor. FIFA have issued a list of protected terms that cannot be used in your advertising unless you are an official sponsor. The list of protected terms include:

• 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil
• 2014 FIFA World Cup
• FIFA World Cup
• FIFA
• World Cup
• 2014 World Cup
• World Cup 2014
• Brazil 2014
• 2014 Brazil
• Football World Cup
• Soccer World Cup
• Copa 2014
• Copa do Mundo
• Mundial 2014
• Mundial de Futebol Brasil 2014
• Copa do Mundo 2014
• HOST CITY names + 2014 for each of the host cities (e.g. Rio 2014,
etc.)

Instead of designing a poster with the headline ” Watch The 2014 World Cup Live Here” why not try “Watch All The Games Live From Brazil Here” If you have any other clever ideas to get round these rules let us know!
